[GREG’S ASSISTANT] / Co-Star / Male / 20’s / Caucasian - He is an executive assistant to Greg at SNC News Network. Greg is Mary Jane’s boss. He let’s Mary Jane know that a meeting is almost done. He is an assistant but there is a subtle judgement in his tone. This is a 1 line role in the pilot, however there is a good likelyhood that this will be a recurring role.

[OFFICER] / Co-Star / Male / 30’s - 40’s / Caucasian - The police officer arrives at the scene of an accident a man had while he was texting and driving. After seeing Mary Jane pull over and rush to the scene, the officer suggests she do a report on Atlanta passing a no cell phone law.

[OTHER GUY] / Co-Star / Male / 35-40 / Caucasian - After kicking out her tipsy “2am visitor” and telling him to find a tree and hit it, Mary Jane thinks she sees his car wrapped around a tree on her way to work. As it turns out, it’s another guy who has the same car. Even after his accident, the star struck Other Guy asks for Mary Janes’s autograph because she is a celebrity anchor woman. He is in pain during the exchange and suffered a broken nose.

[NPR REPORTER (V.O.)] - This is a voice over for an NPR reporter. We are looking for a male voice, Caucasian, 40’s+, with the sound of a reporter for NPR.
[TIM] / Co-Star / Male / 50’s / Caucasian - He is one of Mary Janes colleague’s that tells her that he’s looking forward to her story on African women. He is in his 50’s but he maintains his body firm and his looks are together. He’s the type of handsome man that if he were to make a move on Mary Jane she would go for it. There is a bit of a flirtation between them. There are 2 lines in the pilot but should it get picked up for series there is a very strong possibility that this will be a recurring role.

Role Breakdown: [CARMEN]

Carmen comes to Atlanta to visit her son Joseph (Jason Olive). Joseph has neglected to tell his mother that he is in a serious relationship with Leslie (Crystle Stewart) and that they are living together. Joseph doesn’t tell Carmen about Leslie because she has never liked the women he’s dated in the past. He mentions that she dry heaves whenever he tries to mention a woman he may be seeing. In addition, she is a cancer survivor and a recovering alcoholic so Joseph is very keen on saying anything that would upset her. Carmen is a world travelled antique collector who owns her own antique store.
